“Fibercated” series 2024- 2025

In these mixed media series I have continued working with both natural and synthetic fibers exploring a galore of lace, silk, satin, yarn, wool, thread, rope, burlap, pieces of old clothing, furniture upholstery, leather, furs and other wonderful choices of fibers. My choice was dictated by the quality of materials – primarily focusing on the medium and secondarily, the subject matter. My preferred choice were recycled pieces or leftovers from other art or household projects. My goal was to seek interesting contrasts, experiments with different textures and tactile qualities of fabrics. This project is a continuation of “Touch me” series from 2023.
